Perhaps the SOS emails still go to her BlackBerry.

So, it's settled. The Syrian government can curb-stomp the opposition all it wants.... as long as they don't use chemical weapons.

Also, Iran will immediately give up on its support of Hezbollah and its forces will ride back home on a herd of unicorns.

At least the president has made a 180-degree turn from his previous Putin- and Assad-appeasing positions on Syria and is going in the right direction. Baby steps.

It doesn't change the basic equation, though.

Iran supports Assad because he supports Hezbollah in Lebanon. So, unless there's an Assad-lite figure waiting somewhere in the wings, in some boardroom in Geneva or London or wherever, this is one more can of worms.

No, it really wasn't. Pointing out a potential flaw in the execution of a plan is not the same thing as rooting for it to fail.

It's pretty interesting. Richard Spencer and the rest of his pro-Nazi losers don't like that Trump struck pro-Russian interests.

If anything, I'm glad Trump pissed them off.

If is was a one-off, as Pentagon is saying today, then good. But that would also mean by next week it'll be forgotten everywhere except Syria. And I'm not sure Assad is even that mad about it in private.

Tillerson's visit to Moscow next week still on, yes?

Really makes ya' think, doesn't it?
Like maybe he's not running a damn thing and is simply doing as he's told.

Haven't seen anything about it being canceled yet. There's a certain WWE element to this whole thing.

Smart bombs are not all that smart. A thousand pounds of explosive kills whoever is in the blast radius.

I don't agree. I think "lame duck" is an excuse affixed to the issue when, so long as the Republicans were in charge of the Senate, they weren't going to confirm anyone nominated by Obama or, if she had won, Clinton. Not after the gay marriage ruling. Had Clinton won, it would have been some other excuse. The Supreme Court has become an idol.
