Rappelling down the building in the window washing challenge, he was panicking, saying the harness was making his "two little friends" go numb and bleed. He begged to get inside the building, even smashing a window, then went into an ambulance.

I was a little surprised they didn't get some sort of penalty for the damaged window.

 

Shamir should have channeled Bruce Lee.

Wimp. I am also surprised that he didn't get a penalty in that case for the cracked window. I thought he had had some sort of accident and crashed into it.

 

Since we didn't have enough members participating, give Amy the team of Liz & Michael since her team was eliminated.

 

Holy crap, Liz and Michael might be my favorite team. No complaining - just get stuff done.

My team might be my least favorite (and the douchebag bros). Shamir needs to stop complaining and whining over every little thing (a splinter dude, really? You've never put any piece of furniture together and you make your sister do it??? I'm really not sure that you have balls to squish by that harness.) The bros...look, the first leg is not a leg to make a deal, renege on that deal and then be douches about it. If you make a deal, you stick to it in this game. If you're not about that, don't make it because you're just going to have someone on your back the whole damn time.

Also - regarding the Double U-Turn: Why did they have it BEFORE the U-Turn? Traditionally, before a team can U-turn another team, they actually have to have completed one side. So it was weird to me that all you had to do was get there first to U-Turn without actually completing anything.

(full confession: I had to go to Wikipedia to double-check the standings because I wasn't sure if they bumped everyone up a notch for Becca and Floyd's misplaced passport. Also - DUCT TAPE THAT THING TO YOU. We should have Amazing Race bingo cards: Missing Passport, Can't Drive a Stick Shift, Can't Read a Map, etc.)

I agree my team is douchey, but that said, they crushed both tasks and passed a lot of teams.

I was going to argue about evening up the teams with the flight, but talked myself out of it. I understand putting everyone together on such a long flight, but I didn't like that a team could drop from first to last because of a bad seat or being slowed in customs. I was thinking teams should be held back so they leave the airport in the order of their finish.

But then I started looking at each leg as a heat. Usain Bolt doesn't have to win all his heats, he just has to advance. I guess it's the same here.

 

I think the show does that purposefully because of past races where teams have ended up 12+ hours behind others because of flights.

 

U turns suck and not just because my team got eliminated. I don't like the randomness of screwing someone over.

 

They should charge for U-turning someone. Make it interesting when leg money is needed (marketplace, for example).

So last week, when they said they were going to Zanzibar, I was like ZOMG FREDDIE MERCURY IS FROM THERE. Then when they said "Find Farrokh Bulsara's house" I was shrieking OMG THEY ARE GOING TO FREDDIE MERCURY'S HOUSE. *dies on my couch* Ahem, I'm a huge Queen fangirl.

Kudos to the guys for helping out Brooke on the ladle challenge. I would probably have the same struggles with it that she was having.

Liz and Michael are going to be fine. I'm glad they were spared elimination.

Also I cannot believe that Becca and Floyd went for the Fast Forward and came in third. Unheard of?
