I remember they played the SEC baseball tournament in the Superdome one year in the early 90s. It was similarly disastrous.

The Superdome was multiuse until several years ago when the lower-bowl was rebuilt.

That's a hellacious amount of foul territory.

Gets used practically around the clock early in the college baseball season to help teams avoid Southern trips:

You're not kidding, 5:30 a.m. baseball in February. That's gotta be fun to wake up for in Minnesota.

I see on April 6, Sleepy Eye played Springfield. I guess Walnut Grove didn't have a team.

No cutouts around the bases for sliding. That must be fun.

    It's kind of Kingdomey.

How much of a driving/traffic nightmare is the new Ted to get to rather than the old one?
I heard nightmar-ish type stories about getting to the old one......

I never had a huge issue getting to Turner Field. It was a nightmare getting out, but nothing close to places like Dodger Stadium.

A buddy of mine who went to SunTrust over the weekend said it wasn't much trouble at all.

That's a new trend. I've seen a bunch of high school fields in my area that are some hybrid of artificial turf and grass and dirt. Some have grass and dirt everywhere except around home plate. I'm not sure if there's a practical purpose for it (like better drainage, fewer rainouts and less maintenance) or if it's just an aesthetic choice.
