I've seen two -- The King's Speech and Chicago -- neither in a theater.

I've seen Billy Chapel start his no-hitter about 25 times the last few years on MLB Network.

I'm always out by the 5th or 6th inning. One of these fucking days I'll see it thru the end.

Depends. The original Peter Sellers semi-satirical version blows goats. The Daniel Craig remake is much better - but it is still a very standard big effects Bond movie.

A touchstone of my young manhood. I grew up reading the National Lampoon in the early 70's. That writing staff included P.J. O'Roarke, Doug Kenny, Chris Miller, and Michael O'Donohue. Kenney, Miller, and Harold Ramis wrote the script. Kenney played Stork and Miller played Pinto in the movie as well.

Virtually everyone in that movie was a total noob to acting except for Belushi, Donald Sutherland in a bit part, and John Vernon, who played Dean Wormer.

Animal House nearly single-handedly changed comedy movies forever. It spun off some dreck (Porky's), but Caddyshack was basically the same writing team.

If you have not seen it, you really should. It is root stock for all sorts of anarchic comedy since. You'll also be amazed at the number of quotes that you've heard forever.

About the only film I've seen mentioned that I have not seen is "Slumdog Millionaire". There is a lot of new stuff that I have not seen yet, because until it hits Netflix/Hulu I probably won't. We don't do the movie theater often anymore.

I do very little horror, so all the Friday the 13th, Freddie Kruger, Saw, Chucky and the like are right out.

I heartily endorse sitting down with Godfather 1 & 2 if you have not seen them. Third is an unworthy piece of crap.

I don't detest "Gump", but neither do I care if I never see a single frame of it again.

A little known film that I cannot be more positive that you should see is "The Man Who Would Be King" (1975), John Huston's last film. It stars Sean Connery and Michael Caine playing soldiers of the British Raj, from a Rudyard Kipling short story. It is amazing, from script to acting to direction to cinematography to wardrobe and location (Afghanistan), simply a wonderful piece of work. 96% on Rotten Tomatoes.

It will likely be hard to find, although I confess that I have not tried anytime recently. Netflix on disc *might* have it. $7.89 on Google Shopping just now.

"Animal House" is a trip if you went to Oregon. I had several philosophy and sociology classes in the room where Sutherland lectured about Milton. I had a class in the room where they had the disciplinary hearing for the Deltas. I passed the Delta house on my way to school each morning my freshman year, until they tore it down. Played intramural soccer on the field where they played golf. Ate in the cafeteria where they had the food fight.

Strangest of all, once I was working in TV in Eugene after graduating I shot an interview with the university president and midway through I realized I was in Dean Wormer's office, right where the horse dropped dead. They actually let them use the real president's office for that scene.

Same here, never seen any Fast and the Furious. Only saw the first Harry Potter, and that was because my wife wanted to see it. Afterward, I told her that I could see people liking it if they were into the genre, but I wasn't into the genre.

Also have only seen one Star Trek movie. I think it was the second one, and the only reason I saw it was it was a friend's birthday party when I was a kid and his mother took a few of us to see it.

Haven't seen any Bond movies other than a part of one. Just have no interest.

Liked Gump, laughed a lot when I saw it in the theater, but it's so overplayed on. TV nowadays.

Only seen bits and pieces of Gone With the Wind.

    Never seen Citizen Kane.

Yup. There's a very good "Making of Animal House" up on Youtube if you are interested.

The Dean allowed the filming because he had been approached years before, when "The Graduate" was being filmed. He read the script and thought it wasn't very good, so he turned it down. Afterward came to the conclusion that he knew nothing about making movies, so when approached again, he went along. That was fortunate, because at the time they were ready to film, had all the cast and crew together, and had no locations.
