Waiting in line isn't fun, but if I have to wait in line I hope that the person in front of me (and in front of them etc.) has at least used the time to know what they are ordering when they get to the front and not just look at the offerings when they get there. Pedestrians who don't make eye contact with drivers or seem aware of anyone or anything else around them/groups that congregate and socialize in aisles. Ugh.

I don't know anything about Odom's charity, but the story says it was named after his mother who died of cancer. It does not cite anything saying his charity was founded to support cancer-related causes. In fact, it doesn't cite the charity's mission at all, which would seem to be important. It seems plausible that the charity was founded to support youth basketball programs and simply named after his mother because she died, with nothing at all to do with cancer.

That said, I've had drinks with Jerry DeGregorio on several occasions in the past and, though I'm not claiming to know him well, the impression I always got is that he's a slimy leech. Any organization with him as its head is suspect, IMO.

As an addition to this, pedestrians in parking lots who see a car is backing up but still walk right behind it or cars that don't bother looking in the review mirror first and just floor it to back out of a space. Oh and there's the people who are driving down a lane in a crowded parking lot who get pissed off when someone who clearly can't see beyond the car next to them starts backing up slowly.

Basically I don't like parking lots

AAUTeams that need a million dollars to fund usually exist to line the pockets of the people putting them together.

In other words, the charity is for grown men who like basketball

    OK. What's your point?

That you wouldn't be able to raise two cents for a charity like that.

OK. So? What is the stated mission of Cathy's Kids? I don't know because OTL didn't cite anything specifying the charity's mission. The story, as written, questions why the charity hasn't given to cancer-related causes even though it is named after his mother, who died of cancer. But without citing the organization's stated mission, whatever it may be, the story is making a leap not supported by facts.
