So, that Carter column from 2009 is making the rounds on the garbage dump known as Twitter. I guess it is somehow significant again. Those issues he speaks of must have been dormant during the Obama era, but now they are raging. Jimmy was eight years ahead of his time!

It's not exactly a news flash that a lot of academics are full of shit and completely out of touch with the real world.

But it's about time to stop pretending people like Richard Spencer or Milo are conveying coherent political ideas or philosophies.

    They're not. They're trolls.

Hell, Howard Dean quit his church over a bike path, that's how woke he's always been.

Agreed. They're not scheduling these speaking engagements to spread their message. They're banking on their mere presence inspiring this reaction, which increases their exposure and book sales.

Spencer has it all backwards. The only way to end racism is to get races to cross hump a lot so we all become light mocca and thus indistinguishable from each other. Of course he doesn't actually want to end racism so...

The real way to end the nonsense is to ignore these assholes, not protest them.

I gotta admit, I like following him on twitter if only to occasionally remind him of the time he got punched in the face in a gif for the ages.
