Oh I still quote Anchorman an embarassing amount. I just find it annoying when they do stuff like this, basically saying "LOOK AT ME AND HOW FUNNY I AM!", when all I want are some football highlights.

Then again, I just may no longer be able to enjoy fun.

You know, he might have a point if by "demand" he means "willingness to click on an icon when it doesn't cost me a dime." If he means "willingness to come off the hip for the privilege of clicking on an icon" he's out of his mind.

Yeah. But it seems like a whole lot of people draw no distinction. We've heard people talk here and elsewhere about what a great time this is for journalism because there are more readers than ever. They see it in their clicks. Those free clicks.

The reason potential and current NFL employees put up with the high-pressure world of "you could be replaced after one bad game" is because of the immense rewards that go along with being employed.

Newspapers/websites offer none of such. I'd tell my employer to fuck off if I was competing for my job every day.

Do YOU want to be the one to break the news to her and face her insults?

I liked it when SportsCenter was SportsCenter.
Here's the highlights. Here's who won. Shut up.
I don't need to hear fucking Rinaldi tell me about some kid who was born with 4 arms, and his goal in life is to play catch with Brett Favre.
    No.
Delightful story I'm sure, but no.
Tell me who won the Cubs-Pirates game last night. Oh, there was a pier-sixer in the Oilers/Flames game last night?.......Oh........a buzzer-beater in the Knicks-Rockets game?,.....sure...
The rest of the shit is just rubbish.

Pearlman's an idiot. This had nothing to do with "the decline of good journalism." It has everything to do with ESPN losing 10 million subscribers in the past six years.
