Watson is in a good spot in that he's going to a good team. But unlike Mahomes, he's likely going to get thrown to the wolves. If he can handle the pressure and what is considered a very difficult offense, more power to him. But it's not an optimal spot for success. Especially given that the team's weakness is the OL. I'd much rather be a Chiefs fan than a Texans fan today. Unfortunately, I'm a Bears fan.

Worse than basing his potential on wins. Michael Sam was co-defensive player of year in SEC, Charlie Ward won a Heisman. I have no idea if Trubisky will be any good and he's certainly a big risk as at 2, but these reasons for the certainty that he will suck are silly and ignorant.

What to make of the Browns?

    They traded down. Again.

But they also got 3 first-rounders and an extra first rounder next year.

If they go 3-13 this year, is the current front office even there to utilize that extra first-rounder?

Picture is probably just a coincidence.

Browns are getting grief for not grabbing a QB. I wonder if all the trading up for the top guys forced them to adjust.

Yeah but Sam was blackballed, an obvious first round talent. @YankeeFan would agree.

Thomas' stock began to rise after he destroyed UNC in that game. It's the performance everyone was talking about leading up to the draft. Good chance that game has the most pics to pick from.

Oh I know. I watched that whole game. He was a monster.

I'm sure the 49ers noticed some fringe benefit to including that picture, though.

Was my uninformed hot take not right?

OK. Fair enough. I got that one wrong.

Oddly enough, Pace mentioned that game as one of the reasons he picked Trubisky. It was a wild ending, and if I recall correctly, he threw a late TD pass after his receivers had dropped THREE previous potential TDs on the drive.

Yeah. And then Thomas blew up the two-point conversion. Not Trubisky's fault, Thomas was in the backfield before the ball was. I think that picture is that play.

Easily among the top 10 Sun Bowls.
