There's a lot of talk going on today about how Pace suggested to Lynch a month ago that the GMs look out for each other and guard those #2 and 3 picks, and that's when Lynch knew he had him.

 

In Garrett’s three years at Texas A&M, 17 of his 31 sacks came against teams outside Power Five conferences, with 16 coming in five games against Texas San Antonio, Louisiana Monroe, Nevada, Rice and Lamar. I'm pretty sure there was a similar analysis of Clowney's supposed lack of production in big games at South Carolina.

 

I thought it was Michael Sam.

 

No, he destroyed the SEC. Big prospect because of it!

 

All the QB talk obscures the fact that three WRs went in the first nine picks. Top 10 receivers are more of a crapshoot than top 10 QBs.

 

I can't say I studied film, but just from the couple of his games I saw I didn't think Mahomes looked like a big-time pro QB.

Take that for what it's worth, which is about zero.

Clowney has played in 30 (25 starts) of 48 possible regular season games. As overall #1s goes hes not Jamarcus Russell, he's also not Eric Fisher.
