I'm an Eagles fan, and even I enjoyed and appreciated that.

That's a big photo. One difference, as far as I can tell, is that the prosecutor in the Clark case (a woman, by the way) said this:
"It was not what I refer to as a battering or domestic violence situation," said Lynne Gast-King, municipal prosecutor for Sandusky, Ohio, since 1996. "It was a verbal argument that went into a physical argument that spiraled out of control, and both parties had their part in this."
Big the real point of my post is the Jaguars' GM says, "We take these things seriously" in one breath and "What's the big deal?" in the next.
Seahawks had evidence -- from the prosecutor, no less -- that Clark's matter was not one of intended violence.

Considering the Jaguars usually only draft wide receivers with substance abuse problems, this is a major policy shift for the franchise.

A white wide receiver from La. Tech was drafted in the fifth round. You'll never guess Kiper's comps:

    Cole Beasley
    Weller
    Amendola

Not that I want Jemele Hill to accuse me of revelling in people getting fired but ESPN cut ties with Jayson Stark--who was really good at his job and knew baseball very well--and kept Mel Kiper--who could be replaced today with a computer algorithm. I don't get it.

CGI Mel Kiper would be awesome!

But Mel represents the sacrosanct NFL. And not only the NFL but the NFL Draft, an event that people watch even though they have never heard of a majority of the draftees.

Browns get in the violence game with Florida's Caleb Brantley, a second-round talent and a Grade A shithead who fell to the sixth round after knocking a woman out at a bar. Browns say they might not keep him.
