And he was wrong then too. And you probably knew it. The inconsistency of everyone else might make you feel better about your own, but it doesn't actually justify it. Were they both right or wrong, or do you want to distinguish?

Trump's not going to meet with him.

His statement means nothing. The audience for the comment isn't you or me. It's Kim.

Trump thinks flattery works. Now, disagree with that if you like. But that's what he's doing here.

And, since he threw in, "under the right conditions," and didn't define the conditions, there's no way to hold him to such a commitment.

Right, right - don't take Trump literally. His words mean zero.

Again YF misses the point. POTUS seems to think it's cool to meet a dictator like the North Korean leader. He's that fanboi writer who wets his pants because he's in the same room as Saban during a newser, then uses his one question either drooling over his hero, or asks "Talk about ..."

He's the leader of the free world and shouldn't be getting thrilled some of his benevolent despot baseball cards have come to life.

Did he say he would meet with him unconditionally?

    No. So, what's the problem?

Certainly sounds like the "honor" would've been all his.

JFC, Obama's foreign policy legacy -- something he is proud of, and worked hard on -- is normalizing the Castro Brothers and the Mullahs of Iran.

He courted Putin, and sent the Dalai Lama out the service entrance, past the trash, to avoid upsetting the Chinese dictatorship.

I suspect the conditions would include the visit taking place at Mar-A-Lago and exclusive branding agreements in the upper peninsula.

The problem is obviously taking Trump literally.

He even spells it out in that CBS interview ... "I don't stand by anything."

Didn't something happen to Bin Laden on Obama's watch?
