Is there anyone in golf who thinks the wraparound season is a good idea. Because I sure as hell don't know any golf fans who do.

Only the lower-level players desperately trying to find way to get status. Fans, no.

Though some Euros like the wraparound because it allows them to add a few low-level tournaments that go toward the minimum number they need to play to keep their PGA Tour status. That's why you saw Rory at the Fry's last year.

I haven't heard their names, either. This is not groundbreaking, but I did want to get ESPN cuts back into the discussion.

Here's an excerpt from the article:

“That is definitely a percentage of it,” Cohn said Thursday on 77 WABC’s “Bernie and Sid” show when asked whether certain social or political stances contributed to the stupor that resulted in roughly 100 employees getting the ax this week. “I don’t know how big a percentage, but if anyone wants to ignore that fact, they’re blind.”

Seems clear to me her opinion is politics are hurting the network. Just because the article didn't go into more detail of her rambling on and on about it obviously disappointed you. But that doesn't change the fact that she believes politics are hurting the network. The headline was correct and obviously effective.

Politico weighs in on ESPN/politics issue:

Did Too Much Caitlyn Jenner Doom ESPN?

Here's an interesting quote. Bold emphasis mine:

McBride added that on race relations, the network has always had a progressive view, if for no other reason than many of its employees and the athletes it covers are minorities. But she scoffed at the idea that ESPN could be uniformly liberal. “If you want to call someone a liberal, there’s a certain amount of orthodoxy. I don’t see them giving a damn about the environment, so what you’re left with is sexual orientation and race. That’s where they’ve put down a marker.”

So, according to McBride, ESPN isn't liberal because it doesn't do aggressive enough environment reporting.

Hell, I don't even buy into this theory...but that line makes doesn't make me think ESPN doesn't have a problem.

The story also mentions the presence of Tim Tebow on the network....does Tebow speak frequently of Christ during his SEC analysis? Because Tebow is absolutely qualified to give opinions about SEC football based on his SEC football career.

Does any cable system in the United States offer a tier that includes Fox News but not ESPN? Absent that, anyone who cancels ESPN because of the libtards would also be shutting off communication with the mothership. How many people do you figure did that?

Right. People aren't cutting the cord because they don't like one channel. They just stop watching, although they keep paying.

I lost what little respect I had left for ESPN when they gave the Arthur Ash courage award to Bruce Jenner. What Bruce did doesn't take courage. It takes a mental problem. That's when I realized ESPN was trying to shove their politics down my throat. Fuck ESPN.

I suspected it before, but it takes a certain type of awful person to say something like this.

Believe me, my heart isn't breaking for Caitlyn Jenner. She's doing just fine. She's been embraced by her family and pretty well accepted by the general public. That's much more than most get.

But fuck off with your shitty opinion. It takes a hell of a lot more courage to undergo that type of change when you don't have her support system, but it still took courage to do what she did.
