    Big push at Minnesota to become more competitive in basketball and football.

    Bizarre timing. OSU is a really, really good job, but no big name is going anywhere in June. Maybe they can get one of the Chrises (Mack or Holtmann) to jump, but even that feels like a stretch given the timing.

    Openings in June are very rare. Only other chain of openings I remember this late happened in 1985 when Eddie Sutton went to Kentucky and Arkansas hired Nolan Richardson from Tulsa. Not sure why Kentucky was so delayed — Hall must've retired late.
