The left argues for price controls in the wake of every natural disaster, despite all evidence that it hurts the supply of goods into the area that needs them.

They wouldn't do the same nationally in an "emergency", only making matters worse?

For me, healthcare's different. I'd go with the universal single payer approach used by many nations, including Canada. Damn, it seems like the most basic solution. Think of all the ridiculous hours over decades spent trying to tinker with a fucked up system. The Canadian system is flawed, yes, but it's a stretch better than the soul-sucking nonsense of the last 25 years
