No, it sucks. Anyone who uses it, or "impact" as a verb, is a hack.

the cord cutting has the impact it does because ESPN has overspent. By a lot. It has managed its money poorly.

ESPN printed money for years - years! It also spent and spent and spent.

All those years it was printing money, it wasn't necessarily being managed well, is the point

    That sounds familiar.

oh, it's not bad. I'd say, for all the work ESPN does, 10-12 would be ok but 17 isn't terrible.

    42 bordered on absurd.

Isn't that a bit of a journalistic problem for the Journal to allow somebody to write something about the author's chief competitor? I'm sure the tagline -- paywall precluded me from seeing it -- indicates that Whitlock is a FS 1 employee, but it still strikes me as odd at least.

WSJ is owned by NewsCorp. FS1 is owned by Fox. I don't think the Murdochs are losing a lot of sleep over the fairly obvious bullshit going on there.

That should get Alma to re-think his position pretty quickly.

I'm guessing it was the commentary about The Undefeated.

I have no idea if Whitlock would have made it better in the long run, but I doubt "Obamas Out and About" would have been an element of his presentation.

I dunno. Maybe The Undefeated makes money and I need to shut my trap.
