Asking anybody to explain the statements of Sean Spicer is preposterous. (Primarily including Spicer, of course.)

And I see CuntCruz is trying to jump right back on Hitlerry. Focus, Chosen Son.

Do you know who lives along the counties (and parishes) of the Lower Mississippi Valley? I'll give you a hint, it's not the huge basket of deplorables you're thinking of.

Now for those folks in Appalachia who do fit the profile of who you're thinking of? Fuck you for wishing anonymous death on them too.

    Would "likely" have been better?

Location likely plays a role in your longevity since location plays a role in your diet, access to healthcare and lifestyle choices.

Location certainly matters regarding whether to take up smoking or drinking.

That may be true, but that's not a reasonable inference one could make from the study that's being reported on. In the study, once you take into account what the authors call "behavioral and metabolic risk factors," adding in location-specific predictors adds very little in the way of explanation; the proportion of variability explained increases from 0.74 to ... 0.74.
