    The solution is to elect Trump, who told us he's the only one that can solve it, and the solution (whenever he gets around to it) will take about a week.

    He also misrepresented the facts while he was influencing the election, a point that is very clear in spite of YF's attempts to muddy it.

    Apropos of nothing on this thread for many pages, I was asked by someone in my real space how come so many French voters "abstained" in Sunday's election. "Abstained" is the official French term for a registered voter who does not cast a vote. Not choosing is framed as an active choice. How much different would coverage and perception of American politics be if our vast army of non-voters were seen as "abstaining"?
    BTW, at 74 percent, voter turnout was the lowest in a French presidential election since 1969. It would be the highest turnout for the US in any presidential election since 1920, when woman suffrage became universal.
