Robert Plant always loved the blues and he's been getting deeper into folk, bluegrass, etc. He lives in Austin nowadays, still sounds as English as ever.

Really, Plant lives in Austin? Makes me think of Jack White moving to Nashville. BTW, how about White Stripes and Black Jack Davey?

He was in a relationship with someone who I am blanking on right now. There are videos out there of them performing at local clubs.

I have a friend moving to Austin. He's been going there for years, says it's getting too commercialized these days. I've never been, need to visit him.

Jesus, as I read your first sentence, I thought you were about to say: with someone who I am fucking right now.

He and Alison Krauss did some interesting work together a few years ago. If you don't know who Alison Krauss is, please keep that to yourself.

Austin has changed immensely for the worse in 10 years. It's commercialized, crowded, and crime is skyrocketing. Turn a wrong corner downtown and you could end up in a really dodgy street.

    Via T-Bone Burnett.

If you haven't seen the CMT show with them it's worth finding clips online.

It's funny, "Luckenback Texas" came on earlier tonight.

I always wanted to see that place, too.

Kid Rock covered that too. Doesn't compare to the original.

Plant was on Austin City Limits the other night; I vaguely knew he had been hanging around the city, but I didn't know he was living there.

Plant's detours into country. bluegrass etc. have allowed him to move beyond Zeppelin in a way Page never will. Plant always seems to find interesting people to collaborate with, Page will never find another Plant.
