    Saw this while we were walking, awful awful news. And I'm not going to read those comments - anyone who would post something shitty after something like this is, well, I'm not sure I have words for how low you'd have to be.

    RIP, condolences to the Berman family

    It's awful and I'm very sorry for the Bermans. This kind of loss is beyond measuring.

    The driver in the other car was 87 and died too. Guessing that could likely mean a head on crash. Ugh.

    I had no clue who Kathy Berman was, and I clicked on the thread with Peaches Geldoff on the tip of my tongue.

    All I have to say is, ugh. That is awful. RIP.

    The focus is on Berman and his late wife, but it's also important to remember a second person died. Reminds me of the death of a good friend's father last year. The man was caravaning with his wife in the car behind him. He had a massive heart attack and died immediately, but his car kept going and killed two other people -- a pedestrian in a crosswalk and a person in another car, while also severely injuring two more people in that other car. So three people dead, several more severely injured. And his wife saw the whole thing. So not only was my buddy dealing with the death of his father, his estate is getting sued by numerous people. Total shit show.
