He took 52 GD sacks his last year in SF under Harbaugh. His sack % hovers up there with such luminaries like Tannehill, Bortles, Glennon, RGIII, Geno Smith. And, remember, Kaepernick didn't have what you'd call a shitty OL. He just couldn't process where to go with the ball.

There are glaring flaws in his game management skills, and they've been there ever since 2014.

Last season he replaced Blaine Gabbert, who was a dumpster fire. Kaepernick was a significant upgrade and threw 16 TDs with just 4 interceptions.

Gabbert was just signed to a free agent deal. Kaep's agent isn't getting a call.

Kaepernick is not a great QB... but he's better than what a few teams have on the roster right now, and would be a solid backup for many more.

There can be no rational doubt whatsoever that Kaepernick is being blackballed.

He's a bad starter and a decent backup. He is without question one of the 64 best quarterbacks in the world.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Kaepernick win that poll. He plays the most polarizing position on the field and, sadly, I think more fans get bent out of shape over supposed disrespect of 'Merica than assault. Fans are fans, which isn't always a compliment.

If he is willing to accept 2 to 3 million he'd be a perfect fit in Seattle.

Because of the style of play? Or because the coach is a truther?

    Haha, both I guess.

It'd be better and easier if he were great. But, for the NFL, he's right on the bubble. The two head coaches who stood behind him in the NFL are two of the more contrarian iconoclasts to ever coach in the NFL.

Most of these head coaches don't want to bother with any shit over a backup quarterback.

He isn't on the bubble for shit. He is on the bubble for being a starter. There are four to six teams, still, that he'd be the best quarterback.

I can understand why teams would say they aren't going to put themselves through much grief over a backup, but that is the reason he's unsigned. And that's even before factoring in how much coaches and GMs think of themselves as being in some type of military setting.

Oh, I respectfully disagree with that. And I've watched my share of his games. But maybe he's asking for the kind of money that other teams won't touch. If he's asking for starter's money, good luck to him.

But there are dudes who start for money reasons, too. Ryan Tannehill is not as good as his backup is. Bortles' time is just about up and he may not get another job after that.

Tannehill is far better than his backup. That does not make him a great starter but that statement is ridiculous.

Well, according to Tim Kawakami, the money isn't the sticking point, because no one has talked to his agent at all.

I've watched him play as well. I don't see how it's even debatable that he could be starting for 4 to 6 teams, like LTL said. He's light years ahead of anyone the Jets, 49ers, Bears, Browns, or Texans have on their rosters. Probably the Rams, too.

Again.... he's probably not leading anyone to the Super Bowl soon, but it's a joke that he's unemployed. The guy he replaced and embarrassed last year just got a deal.
