    I'm not saying Kaepernick "deserves" a job - nobody "deserves" anything - but you do wonder what goes into the thinking of NFL teams willing to pay back-ups hundreds of thousands of dollars when they have displayed no evidence of being able to contribute to winning a football game, let alone have success in the playoffs as Kaepernick has. How many teams that appear to have decent SB chances are willing to concede their season if their starter goes down?
    If I was paying for season tickets I'd want to know the team was committed to winning, if I was playing I'd want to know the team was committed to winning. There are just 10 quarterbacks active right now with a higher passer rating than Kaepernick - and he's not good enough to be a back-up? And these other clowns are?
