I don't see that as the case in this instance. The article noted that, given the Dems' intransigence (via the filibuster) AND Trump's stated (for the moment) insistence that SS/Medicare not be touched, the House/Senate players were having to plan to work the bill through via reconciliation. It just struck me as funny that @Starman would conveniently ignore one part of that political calculus given his rants regarding such.

Beyond that, I think my record/position re: Trump is and has been crystal clear. That he provokes amusing hysterics out of the opposition is a mite (and nary a bit more) of consolation for his being elected.

 

They're working on a healthcare bill that's favored by 17 percent of people.

They could not give less of a fuck what anyone who disagrees with them thinks.

 

But that goes in the Amusing Hysterics file, right?
