Not a Travis fan, but he made some salient points in there.

Travis has no problem with networks being political, just the kind of politics he doesn't like.

I don't like something. Something bad happens. Ergo - the reason something bad happened was because of the thing I don't like.

You've seen it in post-election analysis, following natural disasters, etc. If Travis was correct - those departed viewers would be showing up somewhere else. FS1, CBS SportsNet, NBCSN, They're not. All cable sports nets have lost viewers.

Definitely good enough to be a backup, probably still good enough to be a starter. Is he willing to sign for a backup's pay?

The only owner who doesn't give a shit about the look is Jerry Jones, but he'll balk at the price tag.

Take politics out of it, how rare is it for an NBC property to sponsor or advertise on an ABC property?

Never? Common? I really don't know but I can't think of another example. Coursy mention on NFL programming but not as a presenting sponsor?

I know networks mention competing networks in NFL coverage when advancing games. Same thing happens in the MLB playoffs and the NCAA basketball tournament. Maybe between the networks in the big soccer events too. I don't know, too much to keep up with.

I just know Troy Aikman and Tony Romo won't be getting in a bar fight.

Ramona Shelburne seems to be a competent reporter on the NBA beat. I enjoy her updates and articles.

I like her work. I think the fact that she appears on a lot of platforms helped her stay.

I wonder how long Brian Windhorst lasts at ESPN after LeBron announces his retirement.

And Marc Stein is also still writing for ESPN after it was announced he was being canned.

What is going on with the Marc Stein situation? I also agree on Shelbourne. She does a very good job.
