CBS morning news program reports they asked 20 Republican Congresspeople and Senators and the White House to appear to discuss Comey memo. All refused. Another straw in the wind. This is a universal pols' response to trouble -- hunkering down and hoping it all blows over. Almost never works. All it does is convince voters you're a coward and that things must be worse than they thought if you're so afraid.

    He's just CONCERNED!

On Wednesday, Putin denied that Lavrov had shared any intelligence with him or with Russia’s secret service, instead declaring that a “political schizophrenia” had gripped the United States and that it was “eliciting concern” in Russia.

You should know better. YF is going to do everything he can to keep the focus on anything but President Trump's current troubles.

The staffer who took Trump's Twitter machine away is a real asshole.

I assume it's now locked in a desk drawer of the White House Counsel.

Because you're treating Trump like another politician on the other side who you can't stand. If you can't distinguish between Cruz - a serious person with whom you have real policy differences, and Trump, you are part of the problem. Same with everyone who claims to be terrified by a President Pence. Both sides have lost elections before to candidates they found extremely distasteful. Both sides have emerged to fight another day. If you believe that this is a fundamentally different chapter; that Trump is so ill-equipped as to trivialize the office and the country, act like it. If not, I guess you're entitled to be wrong, but you're much closer to the Trump voters than us Never-Trumpers on the right.

The point about polling isn't about what will happen, but whether the GOP in Congress still think going along with Trump is helping them or hurting them. They can disregard the polls and think everything is fine, but I guarantee there is polling out by the GOP trying to find out whether they should stick with Trump or take a more independent stand against him.
