Why the Phillies have not put Velasquez in the bullpen (or out to pasture) yet is beyond me.

He is 24 years old, so a tad young for the pasture. Maybe they move him to the bullpen or send him to AAA now that Nola is back.

He was RAW today. Even the announcer said he was scattering hits.

Arrieta was sharp yesterday. I'd still like to see him go deeper into games again. But a lot of the advanced metrics sites were flagging his bad start as at least partially attributable to bad luck. I don't know what his velocity was like yesterday, but it had also partially returned recently.

Schwarber, Rizzo, and Russell need to start hitting their weights, though. Other than raw Deer-Kittle-Reynolds power, I'm not convinced Schwarber has the goods at this level.
