I think he's going to enjoy his new Russian estate.

I disagree. In a normal administration of either party there is no shortage of people who are willing to take high level administrative posts. It takes time to find people with the right skill set who are willing to work for the Federal pay scale, and for them to be vetted and confirmed. Trump's lack of GOP support might indeed be a factor, but I think that a lack of understanding of how a government transition works combined with an ideological push to downsize had a lot to do with it as well. Normally the staff has lists of potential nominees ready to go very early on. Remember also all the stories about how candidates had to be acceptable to Trump, Bannon, Priebus, Kushner, and several more. Throw in not allowing McMaster and Mattis to hire their own staff and Tillerson's seeming unwillingness to staff Dept. of State.

Given the current state of the White House you also have to find people who are willing to join a dysfunctional group complete with infighting, leaks, and FBI investigations, which will make filling those positions much more difficult.

So is Flynn working an "Art of the Deal" move to get immunity for his testimony or some under-the-table Kushner cash for his silence?

The majority of people voted against him every step of the way. We are hostages to shittily designed systems

No. We were hostages to a huge Republican field and a Democratic nominee who punted a handful of key states assuming they were in the bag.

That doesn't change the fact that tens of millions of people voted for someone whose only platform was being a loudmouth asshole.

Trump got 14 million primary votes. Cruz 7.8 million.

Had Cruz been the only non-Trump candidate, that would be impressive
