    Bon Scott's AC/DC is underrated.

Brian Williams' AC/DC is way, way overrated.

U2 has been kinda living off The Joshua Tree for a long time. All-time great album followed by a lot of good, not great, stuff.

I don't care what he said, he was never in the band!

Disagree on U2. But that's OK.

Def Leppard pre-1987 and post 1992. Absolutely wore out Hysteria and Adrenalize.
I will agree to a point on Pearl Jam. They have a small handful of songs I'll listen to if they're on (Corduroy, Dissident, Evenflow, Alive)

Def Leppard was unlistenable after Pyromania.

    IMHO:
I'll take Sex Pistols (I just don't get it.)
Boston ( A couple of songs off their first album, and that's it.)
Green Day (Billie Jo Armstrong is the biggest tool in a band full of them.)

    Rubbish.
1 handed Def Leppard >>>>> 2 handed Def Leppard.

Definitely love AC/DC with Bonn Scott.
    As mentioned, under-rated.

I think the Clash seems overrated. Not great song writing, other than a few songs.

Bowie is slightly overrated to me, as well.

Love Pearl Jam, though. And I realize that some hate them and think anyone who likes them is a light weight.

    (I also love "Friends.")

I had never heard the lightweight stuff about PJ. It's just that a number of their contemporaries are some of my favorite bands from the early- to mid-'90s heyday and thus they pale a bit in comparison.

When I say "light weight," I mean that I think some people use Pearl Jam fandom as a bit of a litmus test regarding one's sophistication in music taste, much like I was doing the same toward people pledging fealty to Bush.
