Can you name a poster on this site who doesn't have at least some peculiar ideas? If so, hopefully not too many of them. This place is a lot more interesting with peculiar ideas.

Cutting government funding for X is not the same as being "against X."

Of all the evil things they do, being ordinary fiscal conservatives is the least worrisome.

Every president's proposed budget is just confetti in the gestation stage.

Good! Now if you could extend that philosophy to yourself and the politicians you support, you would have something!

Oh, please. These cuts aren't "fiscal conservatism" because they are accompanied by huge tax cuts for the top income levels. Once upon a time, like back in Reagan's day, Republicans thought that tax cuts for the top would lift the bottom. Didn't. Now the mask is off. They would rather see those below them suffer than rise themselves. Tell me how cutting CDC makes the country better. Tell me.

Of course you're right. Trouble for the Republicans is, every President's budget may be dead in Congress, but it lives on in the next election's attack ads.

Didn't Trump promise not to touch Social Security?

Yeah, he promised one of his degrees from his university would get you up big in the real estate business, too.

LOL. You'd vote for McCain over Trump. Brave choice.

How about Maverick McCain, who chooses Joe Lieberman as his running mate, instead of Palin, against Obama?

Who do you choose in that race?

I'm not sure why it's up to me to defend the First Ammendmant on a board of (former) journalists.

Who would you like to vet and/or license journalists?
