Things that make you feel old

read about a baseball player named Jax Luzinski and I wondered, Could he be Greg Luzinski's son?

No, Jax is his grandson. Ooof.

 

Knowing who Greg Luzinski is makes me feel a little old.

 

I don't recall if this was mentioned earlier, but running into people you covered when they were in high school who are now in their 40s.

Many of my son's high school teachers fell into that category as well as parents of some classmates.

 

Prunes.

 

I said out loud at work, "oh, damn, Powers Booth died," and two chicks said in quick succession, "Who is Powers Booth?"

I told 'me to ask their moms.

 

Michelle Pfeiffer is starring in a new HBO movie ... as 67-year-old Ruth Madoff.

 

I have a torn rotator cuff ... keeping me from throwing the golf club properly.

 

Not as bad as Winona Ryder playing Spock's 50-year-old mom in the Star Trek reboot.

 

My dad took my brother and I to see Stan Musial's farewell tour ... at the old bandbox stadium in Houston ... where we could watch the Astrodome being built.

 

Were the heat and mosquitoes really as bad as all the old stories?

 

I became a two-time grandpa yesterday.

That'll do 'er.
