It's not like he would have had a future as an elected official if he didn't yell.

Who claimed an equivalency between the two?

Why would they have to be equivalent for folks to agree that an assault against either of them is wrong?

Once you decide that random assault against one person, for what they think, is acceptable, then, without a universally accepted standard for what thought is unacceptable, you're going to invite this kind of thing.

If you cheered the assault on Spencer, then please don't tell me how horrified you are by the assault on the Gaurdian reporter.

We wouldn't have to if the sucker punching of Spencer had been universally condemned.

Instead, it was cheered. So, what we have is not universal condemnation of violence. We have selective condemnation of violence.

Liberals are only concerned by violence if they relate to the victim.

Am I supposed to be impressed by that?

But I don't get to punch a Clinton.

I don't get to punch a socialist like Bernie Sanders, a black nationalist like Rev. Wright, or an unrepentant terrorist like Bill Ayers.

All off them have ideologies I find repugnant. So, why can't I sucker punch them if I see them on a street corner?

I think Nazism is pretty universally accepted as unacceptable.

    This is bullshit.

I will gladly cheer the assault of scumbags like Spencer as I will pedophiles and rapists. People are capable of differentiating between the two.

We have folks in Congress who supported Castro. Can I punch them?

Legions of people would be cheering you if you punched Rev. Wright or Bill Ayers today, even almost a decade after they were last relevant.

And, just like Spencer did, they would be more than welcome to file a police report about the incident.
