Democrats probably shouldn't trot out candidates who like to perform at nudist resorts as saviors for the party. Can't believe Quist was able to raise $6 million. Lot of money that could have been put to better use elsewhere.

Trump reportedly calls Germans ‘very bad’; threatens to end German car sales

He is an absolute moron. And the stone age ideas Wilbur Ross and Peter Navarro feed him defy logic.

This focus on trade deficits is misplaced. We have trade deficits because Americans consume, they don't save. End of story. The idea that someone who SELLS us stuff that we love buying is hurting us, defies any logic. Also, as long as the U.S. dollar retains reserve currency status, other countries are pretty much required to hold dollars, which assures us trade deficits. It's ridiculous to have benefited from that to a ridiculous degree for years (I'll save you the ways), and then suddenly turn on a dime and criticize everyone else for having us as a market to sell into in order to collect those dollars.

I can't overstate how much this moronic rhetoric pisses me off. It's dark ages thinking. It's bad enough we have a government that won't step aside and let us live our lives for ourselves. But on top of it, we have traded in some of the creeping socialism for something just as bad -- an absolute idiot who thinks the way to evaluate trade is by how much it enhances the sales and profits of U.S. companies, NOT by how much it enhances the goods available and well-being of U.S. consumers. It's backward.

Christians in Egypt should feel lucky they don't have it as bad as liberals in America.

Somehow or another, a large proportion of people have decided that of a profit is made on a transaction they've entered into, somehow they've been had. This is true whether we're talking international or domestic trade.

There has not been a race yet where the Democrat did not out poll Clinton. If Democrats run a an average of two points above Clinton in their district they may very well win back the House in 2018.
