    Griffin has never been funny. Ever. Her survival in American popular culture is an ongoing mystery to me. I am not against shock humor, but there has to be humor, a quality she lacks.

    It isn't pointless depending on what they are asking for. They can ask a lawyer to provide information his/her client has, like bank statements and other documents, but the lawyer/client doesn't have to cooperate. They are not allowed to ask a lawyer about something a client told him/her. If the committees are asking for cooperation, that's fair game, especially if they can get a court order for the records. But a lawyer cannot be asked what a client said in confidence.

    It is my understanding that the committee has asked for records of Cohen's personal business/legal dealing with Russia, not necessarily about anything he's done with Trump.
    PS: Q, Griffin isn't even a "today's comedian." She's been around forever, or at least since Bill Clinton's first term.
