Running 2017 MLB regular season thread

Mendoza-line hitting Kyle Schwarber and Jason Heyward getting all these votes is part of why people don't think Cubs fans are so precious.

 

At the end of the series, a pod should descend and envelop these two teams. They should then be exiled to some other world.

After that, the Rays should be booted from their shithole stadium and forced to play the remaining "home" schedule at the stadiums vacated by the two previously mentioned teams.

 

VanPelt said he only has 4 fingers so he doesn't have a middle finger.

 

I'ma put this minor league stuff in the MLB thread because it's more amazing than the Mets ... and involves the Mets' AA team:

I've often felt like this watching the Mets, too.

 

Obscene gestures hurt the intangibles score for Mr. Met's RAW.

(Given that Mr. Met is the worst mascot in baseball, his intangibles score already was low.)
