Nice game by the Angels' Jefry Marte, who was playing first base on Thursday. He went hitless to drop his batting average to .175. He did not catch a routine popup that landed fair about 10 feet from first base. That would have been the second out in the ninth inning with no one on base and the Angels leading, 2-1. A few minutes later, Twins lead, 4-2, and won by that score.
Oh, and Marte also hit into a triple play, just your routine 5-4-3 groundout.
