Bill Maher used the N word, but Ben Sasse deserves the outrage:

I was watching Maher live and did a double-take when I heard him say that. There was no racial component to the conversation and it seemed like a major misfire in real time (no pun intended).

However, I can't blame Sasse for not saying something in the moment. It's live TV, Maher's an edgy comedian, and under the circumstances I understand why everyone moved on.

It's almost too bad for Maher that Sasse didn't say something. Could have made a quick apology and maybe ended it.

I love these guys. He can't take the subway because he wants to go to a gym in Brooklyn.

But on the radio show, Mr. de Blasio said he should be judged not on his personal behavior but on the policies of his administration, including efforts to retrofit buildings and move toward more electric vehicles in the city’s fleet.

    HBO drops the hammer!

They're going to edit future airings of the episode.

When will the columns calling for an apology start? Will they be followed by the string of columns gauging whether the apology was appropriate?
