    This is hilariously awkward:

Was America ready to go further left, but wasn't given the option in the last election?

Dem primary voters went for Hillary based, in part, on her "electability" as compared to Bernie.

But, maybe Hillary was the one candidate with the ability to lose to Trump.

It was a change election. Bernie would have offered change as well. Would he have won?

What if Topping and Yawkey hadn't sobered up and really DID trade DiMaggio for Williams? Counterfactuals are useless.

Lord Buckethead lost to Theresa May in Maidenhead. Lord Buckethead lost to Thatcher in 1987 and Major in 1992.

Bernie Sanders would have been crushed. His people have no clue. None.

In 2020, somebody new will capture the vast majority of Sanders' primary voters, leaving his hard core revealed as the small group they are. Now who the somebody new will be, I couldn't begin to guess.

Lord Buckethead had great policies on Brexit and improving the NHS. Shame.

Comey really played this well. I think he knew that his firing was all but inevitable when he didn't do what Trump told him to. He had all his documentation and his play in place. Trump announced his nominee for FBI Director yesterday, trying to win the news cycle and distract from Comey Day, but Comey released his statement and stomped that flat. Putting the statement out resulted in Trump's lawyer and various spokesmen denying that it constituted obstruction. He got obstruction of justice out into play without ever mentioning the word. Same thing today, he related his interactions with Trump, and whenever he was asked about it refused to use the word or engage. He said that was up to Mueller and left it to those listening to draw their own conclusions.

I think he's pretty much a straight arrow and was offended by Trump's clumsy play, but there had to be a certain fuck you revenge factor in there as well.

You're right. He didn't apply further pressure on Comey to drop the Flynn investigation. He fired him instead.
