    Trump was called a liar and intimated he wanted the Flynn thing dropped but thinks he's totally vindicated because Comey said he wasn't personally under investigation. That's peak Trump.

    The beauty of it, actually, is that if the FBI wasn't investigating him personally then for anything. ... he made it so that now they are investigating him for obstruction of justice. Vindication.

    Yeah, the whole "Comey is a lying liar, and what he said vindicates me" is so incoherent.

    Vindicate? I do not think this word means what you think it does.

    Kind of dumb reasoning, because the natural response is that a robber doesn't hold a gun to your head and say he "hopes" for your wallet. i.e. -- if Trump was a robber, he wouldn't have said "hope." A robber would say, "Give me your wallet." She is making that point for him.

    Of course, the president of the United States isn't a robber. He can be way more subtle about things.

    We're all making fun of the focus on the word "hope."

    But it is what is going to get him off.

    And you know what? I'm pretty OK with that. I'm not interested in the thought police locking me away over an ambiguity in my speech.
