You know what else Comey said, YF?

BURR: Do you have any doubt that Russia attempted to interfere in the 2016 elections?

    COMEY: None.

BURR: Do you have any doubt that the Russian government was behind the intrusions in the D triple C systems and the subsequent leaks of that information?

    COMEY: No, no doubt.

BURR: Do you have any doubt the Russian government was behind the cyber intrusion in the state voter files?

    COMEY: No.

I remember you in here spinning like an Indy car wheel regarding Trump's "We don't know it was Russia, it might have been China or some fat guy in his mom's basement". At least that basic fact seems to have finally become accepted.

I don't dispute any of that.

But none of that justifies the Times' headline.

Look at the media! Look at the Clintons! Look at anything but Trump! Please don't look at Trump....please?

Explain exactly what you feel is wrong with the headline. Not sure I get your point.

You don't think asking Comey to let Flynn go was an effort to derail the investigation into him?

@YankeeFan has a rock-solid point here, which points out the danger of our depending on one or two news sources to get our information. It sure would be nice if a few other media outlets had a presence in Washington.

Yes. You've got the Times and the Post. Sure, there's the AP, McClatchy, the WSJ, and the networks, along with some others, but the Times and the Post are the big two, and everyone else relies upon their reporting.

The media is an active participant in this drama. They are trying to take down the President, because they don't like his policies, and because he wasn't their approved choice.

They want to erase the previous election, and they are using politically motivated, anonymous sources, who are lying to them.

The Times of all institutions does not get a pass here.

I agree with this. It's more spiteful. More personal.

    That too.
