Love the song. Assumed the lyrics were odd based on those I could understand. That's kind of like why I often like to hear songs in a language I don't understand. Takes "stupid lyrics" out of the equation.

Critics' opinions seem to be "KGB mole", although my initial feeling was simply supportive girlfriend.

I could see Stan's girlfriend being left ambiguous through the whole last season.

I think she's there to make us feel some of the paranoia the characters must live with all the time.

Tend to agree with others on this season ... just seemed like a slog. Certainly not going to give up on it with only one season to go, but I'm not sad this season is over. Felt more like work to catch up on it than enjoyable television.

Finally caught up on the last two episodes of the season. I know this is weeks old but I WANNA TALK ABOUT IT NOW!

The only intriguing part of those last two episodes was Tuan's distorted relationship with Philip and Elizabeth. Started the season as a smart and reliable partner. By the end he is convincing a kid to kill himself and ratting his "parents" out to his superiors. I was hoping Elizabeth would be a little more harsh when she sat down with him after that. I wanted her to be all "you have no idea how many necks I have snapped, you little punk." But I guess what she did say fell more in line with the warmer version of herself.

The rest was kind of a drag. The tease about Stan's girlfriend was kinda interesting, but still pretty weak. They have teased it so much in the past season that I almost don't care anymore.

Oh, and I still think Pastor Tim's car finds it way off a cliff in Argentina in an "accident."

Just caught up on the final couple episodes yesterday. Yes, nothing much happens. Didn't seem like it was going anywhere. Seemed like the only thing established was making the Jenningses even more vile. They killed the scientist they mistakenly thought was poisoning the Russian food supply. They shot the old Russian lady and her husband in cold blood. We're supposed to believe they were disgusted by Tuan's brilliant plan to get the Russian family to go back to the homeland. It worked perfectly. Tuan is the true, young, ruthless version of themselves that maybe they can't stand anymore but still in a way are.

The only compelling story left to tell is Stan Beeman finding out who they really are.

I think the big difference is that what Tuan did hurt a child, which I think finally showed us that Philip and Elizabeth do have a line and also perhaps a weakness. The whole season has been about both of them wondering if they want to do it anymore. And then Tuan showed them what really had to be done and it was past the line that they didn't even know was there.

I can see that. Although they are easing their own daughter into it, who is younger than that kid, I believe.

Yeah I think they were easing off of that a bit midway through the season, when they saw how Paige was playing and spying on Pastor Tim. I think it became a little too real for them at that point, like they didn't want to see her in that life.

That does make me wonder why, if that were the case, she was still training Paige in the last episodes, but that could be entirely for self defense, not for spy training.

They've really made Stan a little too likable. Hasn't been a real hardass since Season 1, I believe.

He did slam Philip against the wall, almost releasing a deadly virus, last season because somebody had seen Philip chatting with Stan's ex wife.
