Is there some reason to believe it is?

USA Today spent 6 months tracking every purchase. They tracked the buyers behind every transaction. And, despite all of this reporting, they found no evidence of any attempt to purchase influence with the President, or anyone associated with him.

    So, what's the story?

Yes, but Trump wasn't pedaling property on Baltic Avenue before the election. Why would there be a drastic change in people wanting to obscure purchases now? The answer wouldn't necessarily be because Trump was doing something wrong here. It's just interesting.

Are raised eyebrows grounds for impeachment?

That there was a sea change in the purchasing behavior after Trump wrapped up the GOP nomination.

Maybe it's hypocritical celebrities and wealthy big shots who like the properties but don't want their friends to know who they're doing business with. Sort of the 1% equivalent to having to carry home booze in a plain paper bag.

I don't know, but the news organization that spent 6 months investigating the topic found no evidence of influence peddling, or sales that didn't reflect market value.

How's it compare to multi million dollar transactions that other developers have done in the last six months, vs. the months preceding?

Isn't that the apt comparison? Is this trend unique to Trump?

Did they look at that at all?

Good questions. But they did do a comparison of Trump sales before and after the nomination was wrapped up and there was a big change in the behavior of the buyers.

That's the angle - the buyers' behaviors changed.

So what? They are unable to draw any conclusions from it, but are sure to list all of the possible nefarious reasons.

And they make no effort to put it in any other context.

A little bit of good news:

The congressman -- Rod DeSantis -- who said he was asked if the players were republicans or democrats is on MSNBC now.

Having seen the pictures on line of the suspect, he thinks it's the same guy.

Weird. That's not what I expected him to say.
