Pretty good. Part about the cheerleaders for the Showtime Lakers with Pat O'Brien talking about watching them, can't help but remember this

The only reason the NBA Finals were 2-3-2 forever. That's a shitload of air miles for all parties involved.

what I took away from the 30 for 30 is the Celtics knew the Lakers were superior and needed to goon it up, then when the Pistons did the same thing they were called thugs.

And I could do without Dahnie Wahlbergs faakin voice.

First two parts didn't tell me anything new.

This might have been the last time I was interested in the NBA. I haven't watched more than two minutes of a game in at least 25 years.

This 30/30 felt like it was for anyone under 40 who didn't live through it, Also learned very little new but I also watched all those years plus have read the books of the Lakers/Celtics of that era.

The only part I really liked was the 1981 press conference with West/Riley/Buss after the Westhead coup. I had read about this but had never found the video on YouTube, etc.

    I enjoyed McHale's Walton impression.

I never realized what kind of a contribution Walton made during that 1986 championship run. I didn't start caring about the NBA until the following season when Walton was just a shit-eating grinning goofy dude always in his warm-ups.

I thought that doc exaggerated Walton's role. In reality, Walton was only the seventh man in both minutes and points for that team, playing about 19 minutes per game (less than Jerry Sichting and only slightly more than Scott Wedman).

He was indeed a valuable role player off the bench, and his style of play blended perfectly with Bird and the Celts' style--leading to some exceedingly memorable interior passing sequences. But from the way that show presented it, one would think he was a central star and not just a role player off the bench.
