President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

Any time I see Millennial-bashing I always ask a simple question: who raised them to be that way? They all didn't get this way on their own. Crissakes, we're on a sports writer board. We've all seen teams that were fundamentally horrible, made stupid mistakes, gave up on plays, etc. and thought, "Jesus, what are they teaching these kids in practice?" Mike Leach has a saying: you're either coaching it or allowing it to happen. Same applies here. An entire generation didn't just wake up one day and say, "know what? Fuck 'em. Lets be entitled twats."

Of course, Boomers possess the same narcissistic traits but we rarely hear about it. Wonder why...

 

Narcissistic personalities are not constrained by convention.

Our system relies on unwritten but widely respected rules. Trump will trample over any and all of them without the slightest pause. I guess at least his apologists will shift uncomfortably a little before piping up to defend him as he does.

 

It's an outstanding, thoughtful book.

 

Read the book. It's not millennial-bashing.

 

The phrase "conservatives loathe what modernity has wrought" raises an interesting question: How stupid do you have to be to be a liberal intellectual?

 

Hannah Rosin wrote "The End of Men" lamenting what "modernity has wrought," and she's one of the Slateiest Slateists there is.

 

Among the Slateists, are there High Church and Low Church adherents?
