It's not a narrative. But money - wherever it comes from - is a factor.

I don't like outside money in any race. None of my business who folks in New York or California send to D.C. I wouldn't feel right donating to a campaign outside my district.

Here's a tip for Democratic officials: Don't parachute a wunderkind into a district you think is a national bellwether and expect success.

Those numbers were strictly money spent by outside groups. It had nothing to do with how much money the actual campaigns raised, or where it came from.

You might want to take a look at those numbers before drawing conclusions.

Ossoff? That'd be a pretty dishonest description of what happened

OK, not "parachuted," but the wunderkind description is accurate.

    Stupid? No.

    Easily swayed? Shit yes.

And goes for most things. If 134 people on ESPN talk about some Cavaliers GM getting fired, it's gonna hit your grid as notable.

Gun laws in America and public opinion about those laws is proof. The NRA stepped up its PR game in the last 25 years and got Fox News to dive in too and it's shaped American policy. A lot of money behind it, too.

Who would have thought Facebook likes and Twitter reweets aren't a true test of candidate strength?

This is a lonnnng read but it does a good job of digging into details of why Democrats get so wrong-footed with working class whites and whether there is hope to stanch the bleeding.

    What’s Wrong With the Democrats?

tl;dr Elizabeth Warren's populist message could be the trick.

    Yeah!

The GOP won! They can finally get around to passing their first piece of meaningful legislation since taking control of Congress eight years ago!
