Kinda thought you might have had a quiz on the "False Consciousness" readings this week ...

Guys, we set up a system that felt fair. It turns out it benefits us and we won't let you change it, but it definitely wasn't our intention.

My official opinion is neutral. All the special election swing tells us, if it exists, is that Democratic voters feel motivated to show up in mid-2017.

You can read it either way if you want, which means that anyone hoping for a quick knockout on Trump is going to be very disappointed

The reason conservatives get so worked up over the idea of people getting something "they didn't earn" or whatnot is projection, too. They know deep down they didn't truly earn their privilege, so they project that embarrassment into anger. It's the "no puppet, you're a puppet!" instinct.

The whole women and blacks not voting thing should have been the first hint.

Look, we hate that now. That was a bad idea.

But we are very very concerned with voter fraud and election budgets, and if all of our solution should produce negligible results on those fronts but lower the wrong turnout, don't read our intentions into that.

@RickStain must be conflicted because of the leg up offered by white privilege, but screwed by boomers.

You're right, he won't do that. It's becoming more and more clear he has no plan on health care. He's already ripped the House plan, despite the beer bash, and tweets seem to indicate he's not thrilled with the Senate version. Like I posted a day or two ago, what's his plan? If he's got something better than what the House came up with and what the Senate says it will relase in a day or so, why not present the bill in either house? However, we can be assured he'll take full credit for whatever gets passed, just because it repealed and replaced Obamacare.

I fear we may see the same thing in the Warmbler case, too. There's another mysterious tweet alluding to China's role. Were the Chinese charged with negotiating the release of an American citizen? If so, why? We don't know yet, but that tweet speaks volumes about that, and Trump's style as well.

Making America great again? It starts with leadership, not just issuing a few executive orders before heading out to the golf course. I don't think we're seeing that out of the White House.

LOL. There was no beer bash. You know that, of course, but you're happy to sustain the lie, because you think it adds to the narrative.

Just for future knowledge, just how much beer is required for it to be an actual "beer bash?"
