How did the ACA save her daughter's life?

She says she's using her insurance she has through work. Her fear seams to be what will happen if she ever leaves her job.

Separating insurance from employment should be a top priority of any health insurance reform, but it's not even a consideration.

The world's biggest coal company just shut down 37 mines because they are not economically viable anymore

"The largest coal mining company in the world has announced it will close 37 mines because they are no longer economically viable.

Coal India, which produces around 82 per cent of India's coal, said the mines would be decommissioned by March 2018."

"India's solar sector has received heavy international investment, and the plummeting price of solar electricity has increased pressure on fossil fuel companies in the country.

The government has announced it will not build any more coal plants after 2022 and predicts renewables will generate 57 per cent of its power by 2027 – a pledge far outstripping its commitment in the Paris climate change agreement."

Those people you mention prefer that women not die or be injured if they did choose to end a pregnancy. It's quite pro-life of them to feel that way.

This bill is a giant turd. Not sure if it ever goes anywhere.

Either way, gonna make for great democratic campaign ads.

If the ACA is repealed, as the Senator's party wants it to be, then the daughter's insurance could reinstate lifetime caps that it will pay if the states want a waiver, and her daughter would no longer be able to afford treatment.

Which still doesn't explain how she'd be dead without the ACA.

Obamacare cannot be sustained. The law has to change. But this bill is a typical mishmash of GOPe half-measures. It does little to solve the problem of health care or insurance. MAYBE it's a positive first step toward addressing both, but more than likely it's just the latest disastrous step as the federal government engages in the push-and-pull between hurtling mindlessly toward the utopia of single payer and partially undoing what should never have been done in the first place.

It's almost like getting involved in the business of health care was destined to be a failure.

If we get to define "baby" as whatever we want it to be, then I'm gonna slaughter a few million in the shower tonight while trying to keep my phone screen from getting in the water.
