Obama didn't want to do anything because the RWSM would call him a bitter angry black man.

And that would be a terrible thing for his legacy.

Good thing he kept quiet. He gained the respect of the entire republican voter base for the classy and tactful way he handled the problem.

 

Nevada's Dean Heller says he's against Senate version of health care bill. That's five now.

 

Wrong!

 

Points to CNN for creativity:

 

Heller's the one Republican in the Senate who's up for reelection in 2018 from a state Clinton won.

He'll likely (be allowed to) vote against the bill.

The others have all said they want to "get to yes".

So, maybe they lose Heller and even Paul. A couple of changes and it passes 51-50, with the VP casting the 51st vote.

 

The bill would have to go before conference committee anyway to mesh with the House, so I suspect a few amendments to be added to appease the hold outs and then the real bill will be hashed out in committee where you might scale back a few things to get it passed in both chambers. That's going to be the real one to watch.

 

It's going to pass, by hook or by crook and regardless of what the American people actually want.

Just like Obamacare.
