Turns out he was wrong about that as everything else in his political life.

 

Both sides need to want peace for there to be a deal.

One side has consistently shown that they don't want that.

Trump has said Middle East peace might be easy. It might if Palestinians were willing to live side by side with Israelis in peace.

I actually believe Trump is afraid of the investigation because it might expose business crimes prior to his campaign related to financing from Russia. I still can't believe any competent intelligence officer like Putin would let an unbalanced motormouth like Trump know anything about an actual operation.
