At some point, you'd think the people covering politics would not simply regurgitate the phrases the people they're covering want them to. Hard to cling to your "independence" when you play into their hands repeatedly.

Having said that, this bill is ultimately doomed to fail -- just like Obamacare -- because no matter who's running the government, they're just going to fuck it up.
