Fellow Indianan John Hiatt documented it:

Dick Whitman and Machine Head like this.

    The correct term is "Hoosier."

I thought that was like calling someone the "N" word.

We're allowed to call you guys Hoosiers?

    Sounds derogatory.

I started calling myself a Indianiegan after I moved to Indiana from Ohio just piss off my native Hoosier wife. Also because I don't want to be called a fucking Hoosier any more than I ever wanted to be called a Buckeye. I want no Big Ten stench on me.

I'll answer your PM out on the board, Dick.

I don't hate or whatever you. If I were so inclined I would after the vile PM you sent me years ago. But I don't.

You sj persona is not what it was. You've changed over time and I would think you'd agree with that. That's all my point was.

I don't hate anyone here, not even the one who has very, very hard feelings, maybe hate for me.

    Wait..

QYFW. I hate that guy. I owe him in fantasy football and baseball. I'm gonna get him.

    Worst nicknames for state residents
    1. Hoosier
    2. Sooner
    3. Buckeye
    4. Peach

    ....good ones
    1. Hawkeye
    2. Volunteer
    3. Cornhusker (I dunno, just like the sound of it)
    4. Tar Hell
    5. Badger

Odd how some have come into common use, while others (Kansas, Sunflower) are almost never used to refer to a resident. BTW, North Dakota is the Peace Garden State. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    WTF is a Sandlapper??

Seems odd to me that anyone would willingly refer to themselves as a Hoosier, Buckeye, or Corn Husker.

    Don't remember it.

Add revealing PMs to outing on the list of now-permitted behavior, though.

I dunno about No. 4. It warms my heart every time some Yankee calls me a Georgia Peach.

Also, I love when threads like these happen. I know they probably drive the mods crazy, but it feels like an oft-needed release valve for the entire board.

    Jesus, Dick.

    Really?
