I mentioned that "pro-immigration" people called him "the deporter in chief." You sort of dismissed the idea that anyone thought Obama actually deported anybody.

No one really considered Obama the Deporter in Chief. The folks who used that term, on a few occasions, were allies, trying to influence him.

So he really did just let everyone into the country, no questions asked?
Do you have actual numbers on this?

Now you're asking a different question.

Do you not remember the immigration crisis he innitiated?

The number of children who are caught trying to slip across the U.S.-Mexico border alone and illegally has quietly surged again more than a year after President Obama referred to the problem as an "urgent humanitarian situation."

While the world has been focused on Europe's migrant crisis, apprehensions of unaccompanied minors along America's own border have exploded: More than 10,000 undocumented children have been stopped in just the last two months, according to U.S. Border and Customs Protection.

The 10,588 apprehensions are a 106 percent increase over the same Oct. 1 through Nov. 30 period from last year, when 5,129 kids were picked up.

Apprehensions of family units — legal guardians with children under 18 — have proliferated too, with 12,505 detentions in those two months, representing a 173 percent increase from last year's 4,577 seizures in the same time frame.

I know it pales in comparison to the European immigration crisis that Obama cause by allowing ISIS to take over much of Iraq, Syria, and Libya, but it was a big deal:

Unaccompanied minors are crossing the U.S. Southwest border in growing numbers again, sparking concerns that the new influx of children could eventually approach the levels that last year prompted the Obama administration to declare a humanitarian crisis.

In October and November, more than 10,500 children crossed the U.S.-Mexico border by themselves, the vast majority from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras, according to U.S. government data analyzed by the Migration Policy Institute, a nonpartisan think tank. That’s a 106 percent increase over the same period last year, reflecting a steady increase that began in March.

The numbers are still far below the peak period last year, when more than 10,600 unaccompanied minors crossed the border just in the month of June, swamping federal resources. And the administration, widely believed to have missed the warning signs before the previous surge, “is certainly a lot more concerned and on top of it than they were two years ago,” said Marc Rosenblum, deputy director of the U.S. immigration policy program at the policy institute.

Apprehended? Now that's a funny word, particularly in the context of this discussion. Interesting, indeed.

    True.

Russia, which wasn't going after ISIS when Obama was president killed al-Baghdadi.

Thanks Trump for getting Russia to work with us.

What have I said that you disagree with?

Obama's immigration policy was a disaster, and set of a crisis. That's a fact.

One person called Obama the "deporter in chief" -- the head of La Raza. She was trying to make a point, but was an ally of the President. No one seriously considered him the "deporter in chief".

The only thanks I'll give Trump is for being willing to work with Russia. Russia has been willing to work with USA for years --- as equal partners (which USA won't accept; ay, there's the rub!). But it's kind of hard to work together against ISIS when some American politicians consider Russia a bigger threat than ISIS. Russia has never made such an outrageous statement about America.

Then why had immigration leveled off since 2007? During his administration immigration was at net zero.

I know it's an article of faith among the right that he didn't do jack shit about it, but it's simply not true.
